Delivery & Collection Times

Delivery
1. Venue: All pictures must be delivered to the Diss Corn Hall, St Nicholas Street, DISS on Thursday 8th 
October between before 8.30 pm
2. Parking: a)  Diss is a busy market town and the space available in front of the Corn Hall is limited to 5 cars 
(including the general public who have the absolute right to use the space).  The Rotary Club stewards will
make every effort to keep spaces available for delivery.  We recommend that you contact  the organiser, 
Lawrence Thompson 01379 788918 to obtain a recommended time of delivery.
b) There are over 1000 parking spaces in Diss - with at least 500 being within 200 metres of the 
Corn Hall.  There locations are shown on the Map Page.  
3. Protection of paintings: Paintings must be appropriately packed to protect them during transit, delivery 
and hanging with the Registration Form visible (preferably in a clear A4 wallet taped to the packing).  
Please ensure that you ensure that you take away your own packaging materials to ensure that you have 
adequate protection for your paintings should they not be sold.
4. Preparation of paintings: All pictures must be framed, corded and signed by the artist.  
A hanging charge of £2.00 per picture will be charged - payment must be sent with the "Registration Form" 
by August 22nd 2009 - cheques are to be made payable to Diss & District Rotary Club.
5. Identification of paintings:  Each picture must be labelled with the artist’s name, title of work, 
medium and price.  Rotarians will be responsible for hanging the pictures in predetermined numbered 
locations - your painting will be listed in the catalogue by this location (together with title, details of the 
medium used and price).
Collection
1.
Unsold pictures: It is recommended that you either visit the exhibition on Sunday afternoon 11th October or telephone 
Lawrence Thompson on 01379 788918 to determine how many paintings remain unsold and require collection. 
2. Collection:     All unsold works must be collected by the artist or an authorised representative between 5pm 
and 7pm on Sunday, 11th October 2009.   Proof of identity or a copy of the artist’s “Registration Form” will be required.
3. Protection of paintings: Remember to return to the Corn Hall with your packaging materials; the Rotary Club will 
be unable to supply packing.

Failure to Collect;  Any unsold works not collected by the artist by 9pm on Sunday 11th October 2009

(or by other such time agreed by the Club with the artist) may be disposed of by the Club acting as

the agent of the artist in such manner as the Club in its absolute discretion decides for which

the Club shall bear no responsibility to the artist or any third parties.  

Pictures Sold
1. Payment: Artists who have sold works will be paid by cheque within 28 days of receipt of cleared funds by
the Club  from the buyer of the artist’s works, posted to the address stated on the 
Registration Form”  
2. Commission:  Commission on all sales of all works will be 20%
