Diss Art Exhibition - Terms and Conditions:

We ask that you comply with the following conditions to assist in the organization of this event and ensure timely receipt of the Notice
of Intent to Exhibit and / or the Registration Forms from you.  Please indicate acceptance of these terms on the Registration Form:



1. All pictures must be the artist’s own original work, available for sale and remain on view for the duration of the exhibition

2. All pictures must be framed and corded and signed by the artist.

3. Each picture should be labeled with the artist’s name, title of work, medium and price.

4. Paintings must be appropriately packed to protect them during transit, delivery and hanging with the Registration 
Form visible (preferably in a clear A4 wallet taped to the packing) and in accordance with the Delivery and
Collection Times detailed on the www.dissartshow.org.uk website.


5. All pictures submitted for exhibition are referred to in these terms as (“works”).

6. Limited editions or packs of prints may be offered for sale under these terms, and should not be less 
then £10.00 in value.  

7. The non-refundable hanging charge of £2.00 per work is payable with the submission of the “Registration Form”  
by 1st October 2011 or sooner, if possible. Cheques should be made payable to: Rotary Club of Diss & District.

8. Commission on all sales of all works will be charged at 20% and deducted at the time of payment for the sale of the painting

9. All works are exhibited at the owner’s risk; the Club bears no responsibility for any loss or damage caused in the 
work howsoever caused.

10 The artist agrees to indemnify the Club and keep it indemnified from and against all claims (including without limitation 
any direct or indirect consequential losses, loss of reputation, and all interest, penalties and legal and other professional
costs and expenses) arising out of or in connection with any breach of copyright or intellectual property rights of others 
by the artist and/or arising from any other act or omission by the artist in relation to the works.

11. Artists who have sold works will be reimbursed by cheque posted to the address stated on the Registration Form”  
within 28 days of receipt of cleared funds by the Club from the buyer of the artist’s works.

12. All unsold works are to be collected by the artist or a duly authorised representative between 4pm and 6pm on Sunday,
 23rd October 2011 on presentation of proof of identity or a copy of the artist’s “Registration Form”.

     
13. Any unsold works not collected by the artist by 8pm on Sunday 23rd October 2011 (or by other such time agreed 
by the Club with the artist) may be disposed of by the Club acting as the agent of the artist in such manner as the 
Club in its absolute discretion decides for which the Club shall bear no responsibility to the artist or any third parties.

 
14. The Club has the sole discretion to withdraw any work from the Exhibition without providing reasons for so doing and 
may claim its reasonable costs for doing so (if any) from the artist which may be deducted from any sums due by 
the Club to the artist in respect of the sale of any other of the artist’s works.

 
       

We trust you will feel this is a project worthy of your support which at the same time has the benefit of providing you with 
an opportunity to exhibit and sell your pictures.
